Another thing I do is research players, seeing what they're up to during these weeks of December.
Some have started the preseason a bit later because they had some physical issues or because they simply finished last season very late and needed extra physical and mental rest.
Others have started training very early and are even already playing exhibition matches.
I often gather this information from the players' Instagram accounts, if it is available.
Not only now but throughout the season too.
Sometimes they take a break in the middle of the season, and it's their Instagrams that reveal it.
One interesting point is that players might not reveal nothing, but their girlfriends or wives might post a photo on vacation, hinting the player could be with them.
If I see a player's girlfriend in the Caribbean, I infer he might be there too. This info is valuable. He might be training on vacation, or not.
But if you're relaxing, you're normally not training hard, at least.
Usually, this info alone doesn't justify a bet, but it's additional information that always adds up, as the market isn't considering this information.
In betting, it's about gathering small pieces of information, which by themselves would not lead to a bet, but all together, mixed with a bit of intuition and experience, can lead to bets with positive EV." This is what they call “THE MOSAIC THEORY” in financial analysis.
So YES, looking at the players' Instagram and their partners' can be profitable.
